It’s not very often that you find perfection.  It happens once in a lifetime, or out to the far reaches of the world.  Life isn’t supposed to be perfect; it’s meant to be messy, and full of strife.  That way those perfect moments that happen in your life hit you differently and you just know how amazing that they are and just how much they mean to you.  How you are thankful that you can have beautiful and perfect moments, so you can forget all the boring or horrible parts of life.
But what happens when every moment is perfect?  When everything you could have possibly dreamed of and been trained and bred for is happening right now in your life?  Andy reaches over the car, giving your hand a squeeze as you stare at the passing homes.  “Isn’t it strange how they’re always outside, waving and greeting us?”
“Us?” He asks with a big of a chuckle.  “You think that the neighbors always line up outside of their homes to tell us good evening or good morning?” His hand slides from your hand over to your thigh.  Dipping under your dress, while you watch their smiling happy faces pass by.
“Did you ever think it’s because we come through at the exact same time?” Do you?  You haven’t ever recalled the timing.  You take a mental note of the clock on the car.  4:33.  “Maybe they’re just jealous?”
His hand moves from your thigh, sliding all the way up to your belly as you pull into the driveway.  The Wilsons outside giving you a wave.  Mrs. Wilson with a swollen belly and smiling too perfectly as she hands him a tall glass of lemonade.  “Or maybe you’re the jealous one.  You watch her often.”
Andy turns the engine off, and you spin looking at him, placing a delicate hand on his.  “We’ve — it’ll happen when it’s supposed to,” you know that you are expected to give Andy all the babies he wants.  It’s why the house is one of the largest ones here.  Right at the end of the cul-de-sac.  Perfectly positioned to watch the neighbors.  Andy had made himself the king of the neighborhood.
“Of course it will, and besides that it’s fun trying, isn’t it?” His hand smooths over your heated cheek.  He knows exactly what to say to have a warmth bloom throughout your body.  He got off on your shyness.  You are demure, dainty, perfect.  It’s what he thought anyway.
“Have you happened to see the neighbor next door?” He growls, rolling his eyes as he slings his door open.  Walking over to your side, he yanks your door open, and drops down into your line of vision.
“I’ve told you to let that go.  The house was bought, someone moved in.  And they’re clearly living there now.  Okay?”
“Okay,” you respond quickly.
Andy gives you a little tickle, waiting for that million dollar smile before he picks you up bridal style.  “I just want to worry about me and you, honey,” things might not be traditional with Andy, but he has this masculine beauty about him.  You were promised he would make a perfect husband, just like he was told you would be the perfect wife.  Because everything is just perfect.
——
He steps out of his house, the darkness being the only time he stands out in the open.  He’s waiting.  Patiently waiting.  Grinding his teeth at your figure dressed in sheer fabric and lace standing in front of your husband.  What a disgusting word.  Husband.
He knew what your “family” had bred you for.  How they raised you for these moments.  The perfect, loving wife.  The wife that is poised and polished.  Attending charities while on his arm.  Your friends had the quintessential book club, and bridge game every Tuesday and Thursday.  Your husband picked you up, and you were everyone’s envy.
Every woman wants to be as happy as you are.  Every man wants to bed you.  Pump themselves into your warmth.  The epitome of everyone’s perfect fantasy.  But what they didn’t see is that your eyes are cold.  Your smile didn’t quite reach there.  You went through the motions like a perfect trained girl.  Touched him in all the right places, at exactly the right time.
Rolling his eyes, he watches as another man, and then another walks out to the edge of their driveway to ‘take out the garbage’.  He knows.  He knows that they’re going to watch the right on schedule show.  Your husband loves uniformity.  He also loves keeping the curtains just sheer enough.  They can look, but they can never touch.
Your nightie gave everything away.  Your body trained to be aroused when you saw him.  Your nipples hard peaks poking through the lace as you tease around the straps.  With one curl and wag of his finger, you’re walking over to him.  Straddling his lap, and then the rising and fall starts.  Hands on his shoulders as he peels away the fabric.
The cocks of every man out here with him jump up in arousal.  They’ll return to their wives with you on their mind as they fuck them stupid.  They see what Andy wants them to see.  You being a good obedient wife, and giving it to him.  What their wives see is the picture of demure perfection.  What they see is a slut for her man.
Andy’s hands knead and grope your tits until he leans over, and sucks a hardened bud into his hungry mouth.  Your body writhes as you bounce over top of him.  Mouth agape and these disgusting men start palming their crotches.  You are the most perfect aphrodisiac.  And then Andy picks you up.  Leaning you over the back of the couch and he rips the lingerie off you.  Leaving you naked and bare for your audience.  You couldn’t see them, but they crane their necks to see you.
Watching as your tits ripple with his pounding thrusts.  Watch as you turn to watch Andy have his way with you.  Begging and pleading him for something, until he lifts you up to his front, and gives everyone the best view of your soft curves.  Letting everyone see how desperate you are for him.  The perfect sexual being just for your husband.  Dipping your hand down your front and rubbing on your bundle of nerves.
It is about to start.  All of them know the reason they’re all out here, but they have to make it awkward with comments.  “How tight do you think her pussy is?”
“He’s not going to stop until he fucks a baby in her.”
“Like a good girl, she’s only felt his cock.”
“Do you think she sounds as sweet as she looks?”
“My wife doesn’t look at me like that.  Sex is just something she does.”
“She looks fucking amazing taking him.  Watch her.  It’s happening,” your body shudders.  The elation of an orgasm wrecking you.  “He’s going to make her come again.”
He always does.  What they didn’t know is that this was just the beginning of the evening.  Andy would make sure you took his cock whenever he wanted, and the cruel part is that you craved him just as much.  Woke him up every day by riding his morning erection.  They didn’t realize that you are addicted to your husband.  Because that’s what you were meant to do.
“He’s about to come,” sure enough his pace is hard.  His long steady thrusts now short and pounding.  “God, she takes him so well,” your hand caresses his face, soaking him in your juices, and you kiss over the spot tenderly.
“She’s such a slut,” he hates them.  Hates that Andy used this giant house as a stage to make everyone jealous.  The man takes a quick inhale of breath when you nod your head.  “Begging for him to fill her up like the fucking slut she is.”
Your brows furrow, and Andy crashes his lips on you, and if it wasn’t for his arms, you’d keel over.  Pleasure explodes through your body, and your soft hands rub down your belly, and he pumps into you one more hard time, letting your cunt milk him dry.  “Cumslut.”
“Cum dumpster,” another snorts.  “Since he’s having such a hard time getting her pregnant,” he chuckles again, “You think he’ll take us up on the offer?”
Bucky twists his head in the man’s direction.  Pissed that he can’t look at you anymore as Andy kisses you back down from your high.  “What the fuck did you just say?”
They all laugh, starting to turn to their house where they fuck a less than perfect wife and imagine it’s you.  “What the fuck did you just say?”
“Maybe if you weren’t such a weirdo, you’d know.”
A particularly geeky looking man stays behind, waiting for the last door to close before he shrugs.  “He told Andy they’d all be willing to, um — fuck her.  That maybe she needed other’s cum to get her pregnant.  Implying that something is wrong with Mr. Perfect.  That’s why Daryl ended up with a black eye.  Remember when Andy kept the blinds closed?  Yeah, it was punishment for the suggestion.”
So Bucky isn’t crazy.  Andy did these things for everyone to see.  He is showing you off like you’re his prize.  The sick part is, you are.  You are his to do whatever he wants with.  And the worst part is, you didn’t know.  Didn’t know that he is right here.  Watching.  Waiting.  Andy couldn’t keep you forever, you didn’t truly belong to him, did you?  Your parents could have severed the bond.  They might have kept you away, but he still feels it.
He’d sit here in his boiling rage for just the right moment.  You are his.  All his.  In time, Andy would pay, and so will you for being too perfect.  In due time, you’d be reunited with your rightful mate.  There’s a reason that Andy couldn’t fuck a baby in you.  You didn’t belong to him.  You were Bucky’s.  Forever and ever more.
——
You’ve become accustomed to the mundane.  The usual.  The schedule.  So when your perfect husband did not pick you up from your bridge game, you politely asked for a ride home.  They didn’t talk.  They didn’t do anything, but go through the motions.  The people didn’t greet them on the lawn.  Waving their weird little waves with their overly excited smiles as they said ‘good evening.’
They didn’t do any of the normal things.  You squeeze your thighs together.  Your body yearning for Andy, and his possessive hand on your leg.  The way just the sound of his voice soothes you and turns you on all at the same time.  Andy didn’t tell you a change in the schedule.  He didn’t tell you anything.  And he always did.
You worry at your lip as you see your home come into view, and his car idly sits in the open garage.  “It’s good weather we’re having, huh, Mrs. Barber?” You can’t even answer the question of Jessica’s husband because you’re focused on why Andy is here, and why he didn’t come to pick you up.  But he doesn’t ask again.  His wife looks out her window, and it’s then you realize how creepy everything is.
How there’s this odd sense of unsettlement rising up your throat.  Without Andy you see the weirdness.  He isn’t here to tell you it’s fine, it’s just the schedule.  It’s just the plan.  But this isn’t the plan.  You shouldn’t be in this damn car.  You should be underneath your husband.
Hal?  Jeff?  Chris?  Whatever his name is, puts his car into park, and he turns around to glare at you, “Now, you go on and service your husband, Mrs. Barber.  Make sure to keep your face looking towards the window when you fuck him.”
“It’s nice weather we’re having, isn’t it, Mrs. Barber?” Jessica turns back to smile at you, and you’re revolted.  She never called you Mrs. Barber.
“What did you just say to me?” You stare at her creepy husband, but his grin spreads across his face.
“You have a lovely evening, Mrs. Barber,” weirdo.  You get out of your car, and he grabs onto your wrist.  “Fuck him good.  But if he doesn’t fuck a baby in you by the end of the month,” his eyes turn back to the neighborhood, and every one of their weird husbands are out at the end of their driveways.  All of them staring at your home.  All of them palming their cocks.  “Well, we all will get a chance to pump you full of our cum.  Eventually one of us will take, but the baby will be Andy’s of course.  Shh,” he puts a finger up to his mouth, shushing you, and then giving you an unsettling grin.
You slap him across the face.  Wobbling as you back away from them, and Jessica laughs a horrible laugh.  Too sweet.  Too loud.  Too obnoxious.  But not real.  Her eyes don’t crinkle at the edges.  They don’t do anything but stare at you as you head towards your home.  What in the world was going on?
“Can’t wait to see you fuck him.  Later, I’m fucking this one here, and going to pretend I’m fucking you,” Jessica laughs again.  To add emphasis to his words, he gropes his wife.  “But she doesn’t make your pretty sounds anymore, Mrs. Barber.  But do go on.  I told him he needs to mount you, and take away your breath.”
You run away.  Slinging the door open.  The light doesn’t come on.  The smoke detector is going off.  There’s an odd stench.  And…
“No,” your feet step into something sticky, and you look on the floor, ready to gag.  Following the darkened red trail to see your husband face down in a pool of crimson.  “Andy!”
A hard body comes up behind you, engulfing you in their wide menacing arms.  A hand over your mouth,  “Shh,” he coos in your ears.  Your chest heaves with fear, remembering what that asshole said.  “I’ve been waiting for you, Bunny,” fear encapsulates your body, and tears prickle your eyes.  “We’re going to have so much fun.  What do you say?”
His hand removes over your mouth, and you stare horrified at the once strong man crumpled on the floor, “Andy?  Why him?”
“Because,” he spins you around to look at him, and you gasp.  It couldn’t be.  “He was fucking using you as a breeding tool.  All he wanted was to see you swollen with his child.  His perfect wife.  Perfect family.  Perfect little fucking town.  You don’t even know, do you?”
His hands drop to his side, and you have this moment, and maybe not another to try and flee.  He is too busy fussing about your life.  The life that you were made for.  Bred for.  The life that you promised you would live for Andy!  And now one part of it is gone, lying face down on the floor, and covered in blood.  “Some things they can’t take away from me.”
You bolt.  Run right past him and out of the house.  If you were caught with him, he would die.  He couldn’t stake claim on what is his.  What your father thought he had broken.  How was a wretch like Bucky going to claim the daughter of an elite.  A daughter of the leader.  No.  He ruined all your father’s plans.
Slinging open the neighbors door, you stare in horror at Jessica as she sits there, frozen in time.  Her eyes don’t even blink.  Her husband walks out of his bedroom, his head tilting to the side, “Mrs. Barber, what’s wrong?  Have you come to play?” This is a nightmare.  A man that had his wife that was — was she even real?  Is that why the obsession with you?
You dart out of his house, despite his screams of needing to play with you.  It was all Andy wanted, a family.  You and him.  The perfect match except for one thing — him.  Bucky.  Your true mate.  It was said that those didn’t happen, until there was a string that wrapped you and Bucky around each other so tightly.  It was immediate.  The moment you and Bucky locked eyes, no one else mattered.  Having it broken was painful.  But it was enough for you to comply because it meant he would live.  He could survive and live a life of freedom while you were strapped to a man you tolerated.
Clamoring into another house, you slam the door closed.  Trying to catch your breath when an odd voice, suspended in the air, taunts, “Come out, come out, wherever you are.  My little Bunny always loved a chase.  The adrenaline always got her so — wet,” the word wet is drawn out, sinister sounding.  He had your attention, and he wanted to make sure he kept it.  You flee.  Running so fast away from him, and knowing just how impossible it was to fully get away.
House after house saw the wives sitting in complete silence.  The most unnerving unmoving silence that stuck in your stomach and made you want to hurl.  Running and running.  Continuing to run until you stop.  Falling to your knees, you cry.  Screaming at what, you weren’t sure.  The lie that you have been living?  The chase?  The taunting of the husbands?  The women who were inhuman enough?  You were utterly alone.
“Bunny,” you tilt your head up to the sky, screaming.  You couldn’t run anymore.  “Bunny, you don’t have to run from me.”
“I can’t have you,” you sob, lip trembling as Bucky kneels beside you.  “And it’s all I’ve ever wanted.”
“There’s one way to ensure that they can’t take you away,” you shake your head no, and Bucky tsks you.  “Let me claim you.  Have you the right away, and they can’t sever our bond.  You are rightfully mine.  Let us bond as one like we were supposed to,” would it be that easy?  Could anything be that easy?
“You didn’t even know I’d been living next door.  Well, you knew something was wrong.  But Andy, he was too cock sure to realize the one thing that could ruin his life was right there.  Let me have you, Bunny,” his lips go to your neck, and he peppers kisses up the column, ending at the shell of your ear, and you melt into him.  “Mine.”
“Mine,” you repeat.  His hands brush away the baby hairs around your face.  Wiping away the glistening sweat that had gathered due to your fear.  His lithe and tender fingers start undoing the buttons on your dress, and with every movement you sigh.  Accepting that Bucky is yours, and you are his.
Eagerly you tug at his own clothes.  Yanking off his shirt, and you cup his bulging length, whimpering.  He is huge.  Pulsing and hot, and so fucking big, “You can take it,” he assures you.  He gently lays you down on the soft grass, and pulls apart your legs, “Mmm, I’ve dreamt of staring at you like this.”
He struggles to remove his jeans, and you yip as his cock springs free.  “I’ll make it fit, Bunny,” you ached for him.  Your cunt weeping, ready to accommodate his heavy, thick, veiny cock.  Crawling in between your legs, he spreads you out further, while your fingers trace the mountains and valleys of his stomach.
“Mine,” your voice is so soft.  Mine.  Mine and mine!  He is yours.  He was always yours.
“I love you,” he says before spearing into you with one thrust, and you yelp out from the pleasured pain.  It stings.  It burns.  Stretching you out in a way that you have never felt before, and yet the added pressure makes you yearn for more.  For his movement and friction because you can take it.
And yet, “It hurts,” furrowing your brows, you stare up at him, wishing he would just move.  Your body could adjust.
“I know,” he sighs, pulling out of your depths before burying himself back in to the hilt, and you see stars.  “We’re building those bonds again.  Thrust by thrust,” with every demanding word he pushes and pulls out of you.  Your body writhes with finally having him the way that you were always supposed to.
“I’ll take care of you.  This will look like a murder,” it was a murder, but you didn’t care.  You had him.  You cling to his arms as he picks up his movement.  Over and over again sinking into your warmth.  “They’ll think you were lost.  We can be alone.  Forever and ever.”
“Ever and ever,” you repeat, digging your fingernails into his skin.  Marking him in a way that he is marking you.  “Bucky!” He grunts as he jackhammers into you.  Short and pounding movements right to the center of your being.  You can feel him everywhere.  Every inch.  He is right where he belongs, in you.  Growing in you.  Being part of you.
Crashing his mouth into yours, his movements continue.  Pushing.  Pushing.  And pushing so hard until your walls clench around him.  Locking him in place, and his thick cream spurts so deep into your stomach.  Lightning erupts through your perfect little town, sealing the deal that no one could break, except for one thing.
Until death do you part.
——
Your father makes a show out of not stepping into the blood.  Glancing around the house.  A big ‘FUCK YOU!’ Written in your husband’s blood on the garage door told him exactly who was behind this.  But he needs to find you, unless….
“Took you long enough,” Andy groans.  He takes a long draw of his cigarette, holding his stomach.  “Paramedics are on their way.”
“Well, how was I to know that you couldn’t produce a child with her, while he survived.  Two fucking years, and you never knocked my beautiful daughter up.  And I heard what you were planning.  I told you the entire state could fuck her, and she’d never get pregnant as long as he was alive, and maybe even after.  Give them a few months to fuck like rabbits, and once she’s surely swollen, we’ll move in.  You’ll have your one perfect child, and when he’s dead, maybe you can have your own spawn.”
“I could have died,” your father shrugs.  “I don’t know who is more sick; you or this organization.”
“One you freely joined, Barber.  Clean this mess up.  We’ve got eyes on Barnes, and we’ll let you know when you can come get your wife again,” he leaves without another word.  Head held high.  “Hail Hydra.”
“Hail Hydra.”

Part 2/3
Tumblr media
Two weeks after the incident at Bucky’s office, …
After the day in Bucky's office, you ended up tangled in each other most of the time. It’s a wonder that he didn’t break you yet.
You find yourself pressed up a wall or bent over any surface the moment Bucky lays eyes on you.
He’s obsessed with you.
If you don’t stop him, Bucky is all over you. Even in front of people.
Steve walked in on you more than once. He learned his lesson and tried to remember to knock before entering a room.
Today you wanted to talk about your father’s last will but ended up pressed against one of the sliding glass doors at Bucky’s penthouse leading to the balcony.
Not that you would ever complain about getting destroyed by his glorious cock. The problem is you don’t get things done with him around.
Just like right now. Instead of talking about your father’s last will, and what Bucky’s friend the lawyer, and the private investigator he hired found out, you are doing it like rabbits again.
“Shit, you look so good filled with my fat cock. You’re meant to be full of me all the time. I’m gonna…fuck…” Bucky jerks his hips harder into your ass. He’s close to losing himself inside of you once again. “I’ll fill you up and breed this cunt. Dot will be furious seeing you round with your stepdaddy’s bastard.”
Dressed in his expensive suit, only the tie he stuffed into your mouth missing, he fucks the neediness out of you. He groans and curses your name, all the while praising you.
You whimper behind the makeshift gag in your mouth. It’s all you can do. Bucky cages you with his body and presses your trembling form against the glass door. Your breath fogs the glass door, while the glass feels cool against your heated skin.
“That’s it,” he places one hand against the window, right next to your head. “You always take my cock so well. Mouth, ass, pussy. All of your holes are just perfect. Unlike Dot’s dry desert.”
His crass words have you on the edge. Only thinking of Dot knowing that you fuck her fiancé makes you lose control every single time. You are so painfully close to your orgasm that you’d do anything for the man ramming his length into you.
“B-ucky,” you moan behind the gag. “P-lease…”
“What do you want?” he whispers in your ear, chest pressed against your naked back. “Do you want me to tell you that you stole me from Dot? That you’re a bad girl fucking a taken man?
You can only nod. Bucky knows about your kink. Because he won’t let you fuck taken men, he pretends to be engaged to Dot once in a while.
“Let me just,” he pulls out to push you onto the couch. You squeak, but don’t fight Bucky when he spreads your legs to slide back inside of your dripping cunt. “That’s better. I want to see your face while I fuck you.”
Bucky throws your legs over one of his shoulders, holding them in a tight grip as he starts moving again.
“Maybe we should send her a video of us fucking?” He smirks darkly when your eyes become glassy. “Oh, yeah. Your cunt just squeezed me tight enough to hurt. We could just let her walk in on us again. I’ll show her your cunt stuffed with my cum.”
You grip your breasts, rolling your nipples between your fingers, all the while staring up at Bucky. “Cum for me, doll. I wanna hear you sing my name.”
“B-ucky,” you spit the gag out to moan his name. “I want you to fill me up. Show her that you’re mine now.”
“Fuck, baby doll.” He spurts into you. “Have all of me now…”
Tumblr media
“Bucky, we should focus,” you whimper when he nips at your neck. Bucky has you pressed against another window; his arms wrapped tightly around you. “I mean it. We are at your lawyer’s office. He will be back any minute.”
“Just look out of the window and let me taste your sweet spot,” he smirks against you. “Andy wouldn’t mind watching me kiss my girl.”
“James, and Ms. Y/L/N,” Andy walks inside the room, a manila folder tugged under his arm. “Can we start? I’ve got another appointment in two hours.”
Andy isn’t very happy seeing Bucky and you make out like horny teens. He clears his throat to pull Bucky’s attention toward him, not your neck. “Bucky.”
“What do you have for me, Andy?” Bucky pecks your temple. He whispers in your ear, making your heart flutter. “Do we have anything against Dot yet?”
“I talked to Mr. Y/L/N’s lawyer. He was as shocked as Y/N and her uncle that Mr. Y/L/N changed his last will one week before his death.” Andy placed a document on his desk. He pauses to look at you.
Bucky and you sit down to take a look at the papers.
“I didn’t know any of this,” you sniff. “Why did he do this? One week before his death, he changes his last will. I don’t get it. I know Dot is a master at manipulating people. But this…” You shake your head.
“We don’t know why he did what he did yet,” Andy continues. “But we know that he came with Dot to his lawyer’s office. The private investigator and the computer forensics expert he’s working with will come in half an hour. Maybe they found out more.”
“What about the last will? Can you tell us more about it?” Bucky asks. He’s back to business and tries to focus on the task at hand.
“The original will states that the house and all of his possessions will go to his daughter. He wanted his brother and Y/N to take over the company together.”
“I knew it,” you sniffle. “Something was fishy about his last will.”
“Doll, you need to calm down,” Bucky softly says and pats your thigh. “Don’t work yourself up.”
“I cannot tell you why, Mr. Y/L/N, I can only tell you that your father took the redacted last will home without signing it. Two days later, his wife came to his lawyer's office and handed him the signed papers.”
“Did you start without us?” You crane your neck to watch the men entering Andy’s office step toward his desk. “You couldn’t wait a little longer?”
“Name’s Jake,” one of them, a guy with blonde spiky hair, holds out his hand. “I’m a computer forensics expert. If you want me to, I’ll hack into any account and make your enemies look like a clown…or an alien. Whatever you like best.”
“Jensen, not now,” the other man says. Unlike his colleague, he’s a little gruff and more serious. “Mr. Barnes, Ms. Y/L/N, I’ve got some good news for you.”
“Ari, a pleasure to meet you again,” Bucky holds out his hand to greet Ari. “What did you find out?”
“I found it out,” Jake grins. “Little Miss Dottie falsified your father’s signature. Undoubtedly, your father never signed the new version of his last will. I checked it thrice.”
“We need to look into his accident too. The police didn’t want to cooperate with me so far. But I got an insider who will send me everything I’ll need,” Ari says. He watches your face fall and tries to choose his next words wisely.
"What do you mean? I thought the police said it was an accident," you watch Ari with worried eyes.
"I’m sorry to tell you, but I believe your father’s death wasn’t an accident…"

Modern Barndo Designs
Tumblr media
Barndominiums, or "Barndos" as they are affectionately known, represent a unique blend of rustic charm and modern efficiency. These structures, which originally served agricultural purposes, have been transformed into versatile residential and commercial spaces. This transformation reflects a broader trend in architecture and design that values adaptive reuse of buildings, sustainability, and open, flexible living spaces. In this article, we'll explore the latest trends in barndominium designs, focusing on their aesthetic appeal, functionality, and customization options.
Barndominium Designs
Modern barndominium designs have evolved significantly from their humble, utilitarian origins. Today's Barndos combine the architectural elements of traditional barns—such as large wooden beams and metal sidings—with contemporary touches like glass facades and sleek finishes. The typical aesthetic is a striking blend of old and new, where industrial meets rustic, creating a visually appealing and highly functional space.
These designs often incorporate large, open floor plans, high ceilings, and abundant natural light. Large sliding doors and expansive windows are common features, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living. The flexibility of the structure allows homeowners to integrate eco-friendly technologies such as solar panels, rainwater harvesting systems, and energy-efficient windows, making Barndos a popular choice among environmentally conscious buyers.
Understanding Barndominiums
A barndominium is essentially a steel or wood frame that mimics the appearance of a barn but functions as a home, workshop, garage, or office. This versatility is one of the key attractions of barndominiums. They are typically quicker to construct than traditional homes due to their prefabricated elements, and they often cost less due to the simplicity of their design and materials.
The interior of a barndominium can be partitioned according to the owner’s needs, offering a customizable layout that can include bedrooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, and large communal spaces. The shell of a barndominium provides a basic structure, but the interior can be finished with a variety of materials to suit any style—from modern minimalist to cozy and traditional.
Interior Design
The interior design of a barndominium is where creativity can really shine. The vast, open spaces provide a blank canvas for homeowners to experiment with design elements. Common interior styles include industrial chic, characterized by exposed beams, ductwork, and a monochromatic color palette, and country rustic, which features warm woods, soft colors, and traditional patterns.
Functional zones such as kitchen, dining, and living areas are often in a single open space, promoting social interaction and family time. Furniture and decor are usually chosen to enhance the spaciousness of the interiors, with statement pieces like large chandeliers or oversized furniture adding character and focal points to the rooms.
Barndominium Floor Plans
Barndominium floor plans are praised for their efficiency and adaptability. Most designs emphasize open-concept layouts, which not only facilitate easier movement and accessibility within the home but also make it easier to heat and cool the space efficiently. These plans can be customized to include any number of bedrooms and bathrooms, along with special features like lofts, offices, or workshops.
For those looking to build a barndominium, there are countless floor plan templates available that can be adapted to personal needs. Some may feature a mezzanine for additional living or storage space, while others might include wrap-around porches or large patios, extending the living space outdoors.
Customizing Your Barndominium
The true appeal of a barndominium lies in its potential for customization. Whether it's a fully-equipped modern kitchen with the latest appliances or a luxurious bathroom with a freestanding tub and heated floors, the options are virtually limitless. Homeowners can choose every element of the construction, from the foundation and framing to the finishes and fixtures.
Energy efficiency can also be a major focus during the customization process. Many choose to integrate sustainable materials and systems into their design, such as bamboo flooring, LED lighting, high-efficiency HVAC systems, and low-VOC paints.

Just hanging around
Bucky Barnes x southern reader pt.1? (18+ kinda)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You get into an embarrassing situation at work when you meet Bucky. He takes an interest in you and you invite him inside for a drink. I may try to make this into a short series 🤷‍♀️.
To say you weren't embarrassed about this situation would be an understatement. It was late evening. You had climbed the scaffolding on the outside of your shop in the alley to weld some stuff when you lost balance and fell. Rope tied to the sturdy metal went taught around your legs catching you. As you hung there several feet off the ground you contemplated how you'd get out of this mess.
Just then a guy walked around the corner and on spotting you ran to help you. "Ma'am are you ok?" "Just peachy!" You could feel the blood rushing to your head now as you looked at him. A grin spread across his face as he observed you. "How did you even get like this?" "Gee I don't know maybe I fell? Now can you get me down please!?" Your face was level with his as he walked closer. He bent down plucking up your glasses and sliding them back on. As your vision became clear again and you looked him in the eye your heart skipped a beat and he gave you a charming grin. He was very handsome with short black hair and slight stubble. You didn't know if it was the blood or if you were actually blushing at this point, what with his face so close to your's. "I don't know you look pretty cute hanging like that." Oh if your head wasn't hurting so much you'd most definitely be blushing.
"Ok for real man my heads hurting." "Right how should I do this?" He was talking more to himself than you. Seemingly deciding on something he climbed up the scaffolding and stood on the level you were hanging in front of. "Give me your hand." Reaching up his gloved hand gripped your's firmly and he easily pulled you up. He held you bridal style with one arm around your shoulders, your rear sat awkwardly on his knee and his other hand took out his knife. He cleanly sliced through the rope freeing your legs. He then put his knife away and slipped his arm under your knees before jumping down to the concrete below. You let out a yelp gripping his jacket as you fell. He landed without so much as a grunt and set you on your feet. Wobbly on your feet you fell into his chest and he placed both hands on your sides to keep you steady.
"Easy we don't want you falling for me now do we?" You looked up at him and blushed giving him a small smile. Your hands on his chest kept you somewhat steady but his grip made you feel safe. "Um thank you Mr.?" "Im James but my friends call me Bucky." "Is it alright if I call you Jay then?" "Sure if you're planning on seeing me more often. And preferably not to rescue you from another situation like that." You giggle and push your glasses up your nose. "My names y/n." "Pretty name y/n. What were you even doing up there anyway?" "Well I was going to do some welding repairs to my shop but just as soon as I got up there I fell." "You weld?" "Yeah." "Huh I would've thought bookworm or computer nerd not welder." "I get that a lot." He smiles and pushes a strand of hair out of your face. "I bet it's a mess after hanging upside down." You run a hand through your hair to straighten it out. "And I thought you looked pretty hanging upside down but right side up you're gorgeous. "Oh tha-thanks." You blush again. "Would you like to come inside for a bit? I have sweet tea in the fridge." "That would be great. I was actually going to get something to drink when I spotted you."
Letting go of you he held out his right arm and you linked your arm with his. You walked to the front of the building which at this point was mostly illuminated by the street lights and neon signs. Unlocking the door you pushed it open and let him come inside. It was a small mud room with a staircase leading upstairs and the right wall had a metal door with warning signage next to and on it. *Warning metal and other materials being fabricated.* *Warning dangerous fumes wear respirator.* *Warning heavy equipment in use.* *Warning use ear protection beyond this point.* "Is that your shop?" "Yeah it's a good sized space with lots of fabrication equipment and other stuff. If you want you can leave your coat down here." "Im fine for now." After you shrugged off your welding gloves and coat you led him upstairs. Your place wasn't quite like he'd expected. You seemed to be a jack of all trades quite literally. There was a welding helmet on the counter in the process of repairs, an easel in the livingroom corner with a mostly finished piece on the canvas. There were a few bookshelves scattered throughout the room all of which were packed with books. From his vantage only one had fictional novels and series on all the shelves, the others had a menagerie of different topics all of which were non fiction. They were all in order of topic too.
"You've got quite the collection of books." "Oh yeah I love a variety of topics. If you see anything interesting I'll let you borrow it." "Really?" "Think of it as a thank you for saving me." He scanned the shelves of the closest bookcase finding several books interesting so he skipped them for now. He did notice a pattern though. You seemed to prefer homesteading books as well as survival books, even your novel collection reflected that aspect of you. He was surprised he didn't find any romance novels but maybe you had those in your bedroom? Posters of some rock bands and TV shows covered what little of the walls were blank. And you walked back into the room. He hadn't realized you'd left. "So you want that tea?" You opened the fridge pulling out a pitcher full of amber liquid. "Oh it looks like I have A&W root beer too if you'd rather have that." He walked into the kitchen and leaned against the wall behind you. "A&W sounds good." You sat the pitcher on the counter and grabbed a root beer for him. Handing it to him you grabbed a cup for yourself and poured the tea. "Let's go sit." He let you pass and followed behind you.
"You know I don't think I've ever met someone with as wide of a range of topics that they like as you. You're really interesting." "Yeah I do a bunch of different stuff. I don't know if you could tell by my survival collection but I'm a bit of a prepper." He takes a sip of his drink. "Yeah I did notice." "I like to be safer than sorry you know?" He nods. "Oh I meant to ask but why are you still wearing your gloves, I figured you'd at least take those off." He suddenly looks a bit nervous and you second guess asking that. "Hey you don't have to answer that if you don't want to." "No no it's alright I've got um... poor circulation so they help with that." "Oh ok." You give him a bright smile to reassure him. "So what music do you like? I figured I could put something on if you want." " That's ok I'm not sure you'd care for it." "Jay I have as wide of a range of music I enjoy as my book topics so I don't think you'll surprise me." "Ok if you say so. I like... 40s music." You smile and type something in on your phone, seconds later the music starts playing (Moonlight in Vermont- Margaret Whiting). His grin has you smiling happily and he takes another sip of his drink.
"You really are something else you know that?" Suddenly a black blur jumps on the table startling him. "Holy cow... didn't know you had a cat either." "Jinx honey c'mere she crosses the table to you with a shivering tail." "Meow." You scratch under her chin and she starts to purr loudly. Scratching the base of her tail makes her stand on her tiptoes tail shivering happily. "Sorry about her she's usually more skittish with strangers so I thought she'd stay in the bedroom." "It's ok I'm not allergic or anything." She moved over to him and he held out his right hand letting her sniff his glove. She rubbed up against him making him smile. She then turned her attention to his left hand and he tensed. Sniffing it longer than the other she licked the gloved fingers and nuzzled into his palm. He felt happiness swell in his chest at that. But just as quickly as she'd gotten there she left, going to lay on the couch.
You looked quizzically at his reaction. "Why did you react weird when she sniffed your left hand?" He sighs. "I would have to tell you anyway so better now than never." Confused you watch him pull off his gloves and jacket. Dark stained shiny metal meets your eyes. You react surprisingly well, eyes lighting up at the sight. "Woah that's so cool!" You round the table to sit next to him. "May I?" He nods and you touch the cool metal. "This is so intricate and beautifully fabricated!" You take the metal hand and turn it over examining the didgets and overlapping plates. "What's it made of?" He hesitates for a moment. "Hi carbon steel." "Ha no I know hi carbon steel when I see it and this is definitely not hi carbon. I can't even imagine the intricate robotics that are in this. That's one topic I've never been very good with." Your eyes get big when you realize something. He expects you to connect that he was the winter soldier but thats not what you say. "Wait is this... Vibranium!?" "Yeah it is." When you get excited at that he finds you adorable. "Do you mind if I see the rest of it? Like where it connects?" "Um... sure." The sleeve of his shirt goes down to his elbow and it's too tight for him to pull it up to his shoulder so he just takes off his shirt.
A bright blush covers your cheeks when you see his bare muscular torso but you turn your attention back to his metal arm. Jagged scars connect to the base of the metal and you observe the slim crack separating the connecting ring from the rest of the metal. "This would be impossible for me to even dream of fabricating. I mean there's musculature blended into the plates, it's incredible!" You didn't realize how close you got to him and when you looked up, your face was only a few inches from his. His right hand pushed another stray strand of hair behind your ear as his gaze flickers over your face. Cupping your jaw he pulls you into him and your lips connect in slow chaste kisses. As it gets a bit heated he scoots his chair away from the table pulling you into his lap. You squeak at his strength and he chuckles against you. The kiss is sweet and slow, languid and relaxed as (Its been a long, long time- Harry James) plays in the background.
Your fingers pull at his short hair eliciting small moans from his throat. His metal hand caresses your lower back as his flesh hand moves to your thigh squeezing gently. He breaks away only to kiss your neck, featherlight at first. Your breathing quickens as his kisses get more passionate. His flesh hand moves further down your thigh and his thumb brushes the inside. You let out a shaky breath nails scratching lightly over the back of his neck. Suddenly the cold feeling of metal on your lower back makes you jolt in surprise. He takes his hands off you. "Didn't hurt you did I?" "No no the metal is cold so when it touched my back, it surprised me." He looks at his metal hand turning it over, clenching and unclenching it. "Hmm yeah I forget about stuff like that." "It would be nice to hold onto when it gets hot out though."
You grab his metal hand in both of your's bringing it up to your cheek. "Like I used to do to my brother. I'd grab a cold can of soda and sneak up on him. Then I'd push the cold can into the back of his neck making him jump." You laugh smiling fondly at the memory. "During the winter you'd have to sleep on my right side." "Heh yeah I probably would. Wait you're already thinking about that stuff?" He rubbs the back of his neck. "I... could see myself living with you. I mean you're nice and intelligent and very interesting. Call me old fashioned but I do want to eventually settle down with a girl." "Huh maybe it was fate that I fell off that scaffolding then, cause I want to settle down eventually too. Just haven't found the right guy, but maybe you're him?" "We should probably take it slow first just to be on the safe side." "Yeah that's a good idea, we need to get to know each other more."
You smile and lean into him giving him a peck on the lips and nose. He chuckles giving you a bright happy grin. Your arms snake around his neck again and you nestle into his embrace, completely comfortable. "I could probably fall asleep like this." You feel him hum deep in his chest. "Yeah I could too." His strong arms wrap around your back, holding you to him gently. A calm quiet envelopes you both and you close your eyes relaxing into him. "You wanna stay the night?" "Sure I might get the best sleep I've had in a while." You stay like that for a while just enjoying each other's embrace.

Little Soldats - Bucky Barnes/OC
By RissaRarity
(Dead dove do not eat. Rape/forced breeding, unprotected P/V sex, Non-consentual drug use, abuse warning - 18+ only)
Fic masterlist:
CHAPTER FOUR
Tumblr media
The following morning, Vanessa practically floated around the motel room as she dressed for the day- opting for skinny jeans, knee high combat boots, a grey tank top and green military style jacket; her options at the goodwill they stopped at were rather limited.
She put her wavy hair up in a clip and tied a black scarf like a headband- a look James seemed to like. The woman was excited to get some dollar store eyeliner and mascara, her prized possessions that she wielded expertly.
James found he was very much a fan of these cosmetics on her too, making her eyes pop in contrast. As bad as it may sound, he was glad they’d chosen such a stunning woman for him. It could have been worse.
Hydra had given them a fair amount of American funds for this…road trip. She had no idea how much but James never seemed to hesitate to slide the credit card.
Still they kept things on the cheap side, trying to not raise any flags and only buy things they could argue would aid in their disguises or the missions.
For their trip to the grocery store, he’d opted for dark wash jeans, a fitted grey t shirt, black zip up hoodie and leather gloves to cover his hand.
They eyed each other as they stood in front of the door, she showed him her left hand to prove the tracking ring was still on and promised she wouldn’t leave his side.
Hand in hand, they locked their motel room behind them and headed down the street to the closest grocery store- a small local shop with only baskets and no carts.
James immediately grabbed one and followed Violet as she went up and down the aisles, happily dropping things into the basket including a bread pan, mixing bowl, and cheap silverware pack.
The woman behind the counter smiled as Violet chattered away while her husband smiled dumbly and listened, seeming entranced by her as he followed with the basket.
For James, this moment brought more happiness than he could remember experiencing. It was delightfully domestic and while it may have been boring to the average man, it was a sliver of the life he’d missed out on. He got to pretend he really was a happily married man, trying to start a family with the woman he loved. To imagine that they’d go home to the little house they owned and bake banana bread together while their cat chased mice in the field.
The life never got to have, but deeply wanted in his subconscious.
Before he knew it, he realized she was starring at him.
“W-what?” he asked, shaking his head a little. She sighed and held up two spatulas, one shaped like Mickey Mouse and the other was normal.
“What one do you like?” She asked again.
“Whatever you want is fine, Doll.” The word rolled off his tongue naturally, and she was visibly taken off guard by it, blinking rapidly as her cheeks flushed.
Suddenly bashful, she dropped the Mickey Mouse one into the basket, put the other back and moved on to the spice section of the store.
He picked up on her mood change and a slightly arrogant smirk crossed his face as he followed behind her. He’d noticed woman and even some men looking at him before but he never cared enough to realize why.
He looked at his reflection in a glass bottle and admired his face, wiggling his nose a little at his shaggy hair and combing his fingers through it to push it back, holding the rapidly filling basket with his metal arm.
Violet noticed this from the corner of her eye and walked over to stand beside him, wrapping her arms around his torso from the side. “You’re very handsome, you know.” She said softly, “I’m sure you had the ladies fawning over you at one point.”
He knit his brows as he got a flash back of chatting up girls in pinup dresses at dance clubs. “I think I did. But I’m a married man now, and I only have eyes for you.” He leaned down to press a kiss to her forehead, wrapping his flesh arm around her while he did it.
“Do you think…” he asked quietly, “Do you think they’d care if I got a haircut? It wouldn’t really effect anything. We could say it was for the cover.”
They got quiet as another customer walked by.
“I like it long. Maybe a trim though.”
He nodded as they made their way to the register and paid for their items.
They headed down the street with their bags and returned to the motel room in comfortable silence. When they entered she asked, “So you think he’d let a stranger come near you with scissors?”
James got a mental image of sitting down in a barber chair only to grab the scissors and shove them in the barbers eye.
“No, actually.” He frowned, “I don’t think I could stop him.”
“I could try. Would he trust me?” she asked as he set the bags on the counter and hesitated.
“He’s under orders to keep you safe so…he wouldn’t kill you. But…I can’t promise he wouldn’t incapacitate you.”
She pouted, clearly disappointed.
“You know it’s not me that doesn’t trust you.”
“I know. I just…” she sighed, “never mind.”
“I could do it myself. What do you think would look good?”
She lit up a little, “With your face, anything. But if we’re keeping it on the longer side, maybe just cut these here…” she reached up and grabbed small sections on either side of his face. “Your hair would wave a little if it weren’t so heavy, I think it would look nice.”
“just a minute.” He reached into his boot and pulled out a small knife, she took a half step back in surprise.
“Always prepared, huh?”
“Always.” He winked, smirking as she blinked rapidly again before he turned to the dresser mirror and leaned close, expertly using the knife that had killed countless people to delicately cut his hair while she washed the new dishes in the sink and prepped her ingredients.
By the time she was done, he was shuffling his hair with his hand until it arranged its self in a way that looked lightly feathered.
He turned toward her and offered a smile, “Better?”
She looked over and smiled back, nodding. “You’re very handsome, James.”
His smile became genuine as he slipped through blade back into his boot.
He watched her mash bananas in a bowl, cringing slightly at the sound. “Sounds…like something else.”
She laughed, “You keep those dirty thoughts to yourself, mister, or no banana bread for you.”
“As if you could eat a whole loaf of bread yourself!” he chuckled.
“To spite you, I could.” She lifted her chin defiantly mushing the bananas especially loudly now.
“Ohhh I’m sure you could.” Not. He backed a way a little, putting his hands in his pockets and watching her eye ball the other ingredients expertly.
“Brown sugar and white sugar?” he asked.
Vanessa nodded, “white sugar runs the risk of making to come out dry, brown sugar can make it too moist and it falls apart and takes longer to cook. So…half and half is what Juliette and I found works best.”
“It’s a lot of sugar.”
“And bananas so….it evens out.”
He chuckled, “No, I don’t think it does.”
“Is that a complaint, I hear?” she pointed the spoon at him threateningly.
James stood a little straighter, “No ma’am.”
“Better not be!” she returned to her baking and wasn’t disturbed again as she put the prepared pan into the tiny oven she didn’t fully trust.
They chatted for the hour it took to cook, the last ten minutes was just about how good it smelled.
“It has to cool before we can eat it, or it’ll fall apart.” She told him as she opened the oven and the delicious scent spilled into the room.
“Damn.” She said after a moment, heading to the bathroom.
“What?”
“I forgot to get pot holders. I’ll just grab some wash cloths to take it out.”
James stood “I got it.” He reached in with his metal hand and retrieved the pan with no hesitation, setting it on the cold burner.
She paused mid-step and came back, grinning, “Thanks. I always forget that has other uses.”
He chuckled, “Honestly, so do I. I don’t always think of it first, I’m right handed.”
She joined his laughter, rubbing his back a little.
The mood died down when he looked at the time. “I’ve gotta head out soon. We leave tomorrow, remember.”
She nodded, trying not to show her disappointment that he had to go be The Winter Soldier again. That was the whole reason they got to leave the Hydra base, after all.
Vanessa hated knowing that death followed them everywhere they went. But on the other hand, with the bringer of death being tasked with keeping her alive…she’d probably never been safer- as long as no one followed him back to her and she complied with his orders.
They were currently in Arkansas heading North-east. He’d told her the last target would be the most dangerous one, and would be in New York.
After the mission was completed they had to return to Russia together where he would be reset again, and likely forget the good times they had and bonding they’d done.
They’d be back to being the asset and the vessel. Her life would likely be a loop of being bred, pregnancy, childbirth, then probably having her children taken away and the cycle beginning again.
And so, Vanessa was determined to squeeze what enjoyment she could get out of the next two weeks, because it would have to last a lifetime.
--
When it was time for him to go, she gave him a hug before he left. She could already feel his programming had taken over as he stood stiffly while she wrapped her arms around his torso.
“Come back safe to me, that’s an order.” She tried to joke but he only rolled his eyes and waited for her to let go- yeah, James was definitely gone for the evening.
Feeling daring, she got on her toes and pressed a kiss to his cheek before releasing him and taking a step to the side. “Stay here.” He said numbly, waiting for her to nod before leaving the room and locking the door behind him.
--
Vanessa packed her bags to be ready to go the next day, glad she also bought ziplock bags to keep the banana bread in.
It was early morning when the Soldat returned, clutching his side that bled in a couple of spots.
She ran over, hesitating for a moment when the look in his eyes told her this was definitely the Soldat and not James.
She slowed her run and put her hands up in surrender as his icy eyes snapped to her like assessing a threat.
Being injured had him locked in to survival mode.
“Easy, it’s just me. I want to help you.” She offered a nervous smile, slowly pointing to the first aid kit on the counter.
He eyed her skeptically, leaning on the wall.
“Come on, you need to lay do-“ she tried to rush him and help him over to the bed but he immediately grabbed her and shoved her into the wall, slamming the side of her face.
“H-HEY….” She kicked at him but he easily avoided her, glaring at her while one hand still put pressure on his side.
“Y-you can’t hurt me. You’re under orders to keep me safe and alive, remember?”
His one handed pin on her slowly loosened.
“That’s it. Now let the winter wife help you.”
His knee slowly released the back of her legs and she refrained from rubbing her red cheek as she went to get the first aid kit.
He dropped onto the bed and watched her like a hawk as she opened the kit and put on the gloves in it.
Vanessa carefully helped him remove his vest, trying to keep in any reaction to anything under control. She’d never seen him injured before, it looked like a through and through gun shot. Two of them.
“N-nothing major, hit.” He panted slightly.
“I would assume that based on the fact that you made it back.” She quirked a smile, trying to comfort him how she would James.
But the winter soldier only rolled his eyes.
She snickered at his reaction as she cleaned the what blood she could off for better line of sight. “We couldn’t afford the hospital back home, so you’re lucky I’ve done this before. Gave my family two years of gang protection.” She admitted, making him raise an eyebrow a tiny bit in surprise but he didn’t detect any lies.
She offered him a towel, “Might wanna bite down on something.”
His eyes glazed over a little more and he went to lean toward her only to grunt in pain when she punched near one of his wounds. “None of that!” she growled, “I’m in charge tonight, soldier. Sit still, shut up and let me work. That’s an order.”
To her surprise, he looked amused while he considered the situation. “Yes ma’am.”
So, The Winter Soldier followed the Winter Wife’s order and didn’t move until she declared him all patched up.
“Rest up. Do you want some banana bread?”
He blinked at her until she held the plate out and showed him. His gaze softened as he looked form the plate to her face a couple of times. After a moment, he nodded and she cut him a piece.
“We don’t have butter to put on it but I doubt you’re too picky.” She passed him a slice. He sniffed it before taking a giant bite and downing it.
“Glad you like it.” She smiled, cutting another piece for him – same result.
She helped him get comfortable on the bed and set a glass of water on the bedside table, giving him one of the paper backs she’d bought to entertain herself while he was at work.
He watched her try to keep herself busy, gradually feeling better as his wounds healed quickly. She was bent over wiping out the oven when his arms encircled her waist and pushed his hardness against her.
“Whoa, hey,” she stood up and turned around, finding herself pinned to the counter with his arms on either side of her. “Relax, you need to heal.”
“ ‘m done.” He lifted up his shirt to show the stitches were just there for no reason now.
“You knew you didn’t need them and you let me do that anyway?” she was flabbergasted.
He shrugged, “I was under orders. I have other orders too-wife.” He dropped his shirt and cornered her again.
“Please, soldat. Let James do it.” She looked down shyly, cowering slightly.
“We’re the same.” He countered, reaching under her shirt only to be slapped away.
“N-No, no you’re not.”
“I can be good to you too.” He gently pushed her hair behind her ear with his metal arm.
She flinched, “Y-you always get t-too excited. I don’t like when it h-hurts.”
“You know,” he paused and lightly tilted her chin up. “I fuck the way he wants to. He’s only gentle for your sake.”
“And I appreciate it. I’m sure we’ll have plenty more times together at the base…please,” she gasped as he went from tilting her chin to grabbing her jaw while he looked down at her with no affection in his frozen eyes. She gulped, “Please let James do it. My life is going to be pain and suffering until I’m no longer able to bare children and I’ll probably be killed when they have no use for me.” She licked her lips nervously as his other hand grabbed her hip painfully. Her heart pounded, he could smell her fear - she knew she was running out of time to plead her case before he bent her over the counter.
She opted to go for specifics, “Painful, degrading sex with you, the creepy voyeur doctor, pregnancy, childbirth, having my babies taken away over and over and over. Please….” Her voice broke. “Allow me the last kindness I’ll ever get in my life. Let me enjoy these few weeks with James before they take him away again and we return to the lowest pit in hell.” Tears slid down her cheeks as she anxiously waited for the Soldier to decide.
For the next thirty seconds she felt like she was waiting her turn for the executioners block.
“This time. I can make no promises about the future.” He said at last, still stone faced.
“…Thank you.”
“However,” His grip on her jaw softened, “I don’t get to enjoy much. And we both like kissing-you’ve gotten a lot better. James hasn’t told you, but I don’t care enough to be shy.”
She blushed, meeting his icy eyes.
“And we both like that, too. You blush so easily.” His thumb softly caressed her lower lip. “You’re like a whore and a virgin.”
Her eyes hardened a little, making him crack a grin. “Oh come on, you like being told you’re a good girl.”
“Good girl and whore are two different things.”
The assassin pursed his lips, “Not necessarily. Not to me. Maybe we can start branching out a little-you could be a good little whore.”
She made a face, “I don’t appreciate being called a whore.”
He winked with a cocky smirk. “All about context, and tone – little one.”
Relaxing a little, she crossed her arms and huffed.
“You accept that, no problem.”
“Yeah, its sweet.”
He nodded, “Well, are some point I’m going to try a new nickname and we’ll see how you feel about it in the moment. You could use a little toughening up- James could use a little more excitement.”
She considered his last statement, the bit about James.
He always made her feel good, be it his fingers or mouth but he’d never asked her to return the favor, even turned her down when she offered. She was sure the doctor would make her do it at some point and it wasn’t going to be pleasant for her. She wanted to practice before her first experience was as traumatizing as her first time with The Winter Soldier.
But she wanted to try with James.
“Just…go relax until you go dormant again- please.”
“Right after that kiss I was nice enough not to just take.”
“That’s not part of your orders.”
He gave a dark chuckle, “All I have to do is bring you back in decent health and preferably pregnant. That’s all the rules they set, baby girl.” The way he said baby girl twisted her stomach as he eyed her like a piece of meat.
“I don’t have much of a soft spot for you like he does. I have free reign over you, Princess. Now I suggest you stop trying my patience.” His tone made her hair stand on end as he squeezed her jaw again.
“Okay j-just promise me it’s just a kiss.”
“Would I lie to you?” he tilted his head, deadeyed.
“I…I’m not sure. About this…maybe.”
He gave a brief impressed look, “You’re smarter than you appear, Golubka. But you’re gonna have to trust me or I will turn you around and bend you over that counter.”
She paled at the threat and got on her toes to press her lips to his. His arms wrapped around her waist at once and coiled around her like a snake.
Her heart pounded in her ears as she waited to hear the tearing of fabric or to have the wind knocked out of her by the fake marble shoved into her belly.
But no.
“Not so bad, huh?” The soldier murmured against her lips before reclaiming them and pressing their bodies against each other as their tongues danced.
She had to admit, they did kiss almost the same. The soldiers kiss felt somewhat heavier than she was used to- dirty in a way she wasn’t sure how she felt about.
He kept their torsos together, gripped the back of her head with his flesh hand while the metal one traced her back and followed the shape of her ribs into her waist.
He pressed his hardening member against her but let her push him away- at least a little. “Had to try.” He smirked, leaning his hips away as he pulled her lips back to his, stooping for her a bit.
After the second time she needed to stop for air, he gave her a grin that didn’t reach his cloudy eyes. “I’ll go relax, as ordered.”
She tried to give a yeah that’s what I thought nod but it came out too shaky convey the message.
The soldier kicked off his boots and laid down in the bed, staring at her blankly as she got her own slice of banana bread.
That became their weekly treat, no matter where they traveled to. They kept banana bread in a ziplock bag and would bake a new one together when they ran out.
The next morning, Vanessa carefully unfurled herself from around the still nude James. When she stood she flinched slightly at the large drip down her legs.
“….shower…” she made a disgusted face and headed straight for the bathroom.
James woke and used this time to pack all the weapons he had stashed around the hotel room.
After a quick banana bread breakfast, they double checked that all their stuff was in the car and headed out.
He liked the driving more than anything else. It gave him a sense of normalcy he didn’t often get and helped him clear his head.
He liked that it was time he could spend with Vanessa where there wasn’t a constant neon sign in his head reminding him Operation Winter Wife was on going.
It was the one time the passenger in his head let him fully focus and live in the moment- since staying under the radar also included obeying traffic laws and not drawing any attention.
He could let himself think, just shut his mind off and live off reflexes for a while or let Vanessa amuse him by prattling on about this or that.
Both wanted to enjoy their time of relative freedom and to squeeze as much enjoyment out of it as possible.
It was also nice not to have to steal a car or motorcycle to travel. Hydra got them a standard unassuming car to get from one place to another. The idea was to remain under the radar until the final target was taken out. Legit car, using real money, Violet’s stories about her family, the cover story of their marriage and road trip to visit family that couldn’t come to the ceremony because they eloped, it all added up to a perfect cover life for a normal man.
His final target would never see him coming. Only a few more days until they made it to New York for the final hit before they had go return to base.
James really had some thinking to do, and the only place to do it was while driving. He’d put Vanessa’s favorite light purple fleece blanket in the passenger seat and cranked the AC- successfully making her cozy enough to sleep for the next few hours.
For once, leaving himself truly alone to think.

Rectify | Bucky Barnes
Tumblr media
Part 22/37 | Part Twenty One, Part Twenty Three
Summary: I've lived every day for the past five years looking over my shoulder. I knew they'd come for me, it was inevitable. I was foolish to think I could outrun my past. It's followed me everywhere I go, lurking in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Never would I have anticipated that the shadows would lead me to the light.
Bucky Barnes x OC
Series Warnings: Discussion of human trafficking, alcohol consumption, graphic depictions of violence, sexual content, discussion of suicidal thoughts.
a/n: Hi everyone, thank you for checking this out, I appreciate any and all support! This series is also posted on Ao3 and Wattpad if you prefer those formats/platforms! This is a completed series, and it's going to take some time for me to transfer it to Tumblr, so please bear with me!
"You don't know how long I've waited for this."
Music booms downstairs and vibrates the floor slightly. I don't feel like going to the party because there's much more going on that needs attention, like Tony trying to create an all-powerful artificial intelligence program that will affect the entire world. But I guess that's on the backburner for him tonight.
I had avoided the lab like Bruce wanted me to today and I haven't been able to talk to him yet. Hopefully the party is short lived and people leave early so I can discuss things with him. Although I have a feeling that Tony's parties are anything but short and uneventful.
It has also become quite evident that some of the wardrobe my room was stocked with is likely to be from women attending parties just like this one. The bottom left drawer of the dresser was full of clothes, unfolded, and probably shoved in there hastily. Luckily, the women these clothes belonged to were close enough to my size that I was able to figure something out; though it's not my preferred style.
I put the earrings that I found on and fix my hair one last time before walking out of my en suite. I put on a pair of black suede ankle boots with a tall chunky heel, also courtesy of the drawer, and try to wiggle my toes. Obviously whoever these shoes belonged to had smaller feet than me, but I'll have to make it work for the night. I take one last look around the room before I walk out to make sure everything is in place. I lock the door from the inside as I step out into the hall, I don't need anybody snooping around tonight.
Filled with dread, I step onto the elevator and make my way to the main floor where everyone is. Thankfully this building is quite spacious, otherwise I don't think this many people could've fit. The lights are dim, the music is loud. I step into the crowd and try to find the bar, it's going to be the only way I get through this night.
"Vodka cran please." I yell over the music to the bartender. I turn my back to the bar and look for a familiar face. As I anticipated from Tony, there are a lot of women here, beautiful women. I look at some of them, admiring their outfits and getting sidetracked.
The bartender taps my shoulder and hands me the drink, snapping me out of my admiration. I grab the glass and take a quick drink, starting to maneuver through the crowd. This feels like a nightclub instead of the building I've been living in for the past two weeks. People are dancing on each other as I push through trying to find Bruce, Steve, or Bucky.
I look left to right and finally spot Steve and Bucky. I feel my heart drop to my stomach as I realize what's going on. I should've ordered two drinks. I finish my first and turn around to get another as quickly as possible. As if anything could've made this party less tolerable.
The bartender is quick to get my second drink to me, and I down it with ease. I guess I could use another. With my third drink in hand I make my way back over to Steve and Bucky. I slide past people enjoying themselves, knowing I will likely not be enjoying much of anything tonight. Just as when I went back for my second drink, Steve and Bucky are sitting on a long couch away from the main crowd, Bucky with his arm around a slender blonde woman who looks like she just stepped off the runway.
I take another sip of my drink before making my way over to them. Steve sees me first and his eyes widen,
"Adalyn, I was starting to think you weren't going to show up." He smiles. I smile back as I sit next to him and cross my legs, leaning back on the couch.
"Trust me I thought about skipping." I say and observe the crowd as I pace myself on my drinks, I don't need a repeat of when Bucky and I went to the bar. Thankfully Steve is tall enough to shield my vision from Bucky and his lady friend.
"It'll be fun." Steve says to me, I look at him doubtfully.
"We'll see about that." I say as the crowd suddenly goes wild. I try to see what the commotion is about, and see a tall blonde-haired man walk through the crowd. My jaw almost drops, it's Thor. He flashes the crowd a bright white smile and waves, signature hammer in hand. He spots Steve and waves before making his way to us through the sea of women who surround him. I take another drink as he sets his hammer down on the glass accent table in front of us.
Steve stands to give Thor a quick greeting and Thor says hi to Bucky and the woman next to him before he sees me. I smile back at him and stand to introduce myself.
"I'm Adalyn, it's nice to meet you." I say and extend my hand. Thor grabs my hand and places a gentle kiss on the back of it,
"The pleasure is all mine." I know I'm blushing, but who wouldn't?
"Natasha should be here soon." Steve announces as Thor holds my gaze for a short moment. Maybe I'll stick with her tonight to save myself. I can't bring myself to look away from Thor, he's much taller and more good looking than what they show on tv. The song changes and Thor starts nodding his head.
"I actually know this one, Stark played it in the quinjet once. Care for a dance?" He asks and turns back to me, his hand reaching out to me. Feeling the confidence from the vodka, I take his hand with a smirk. Thor leads me to the floor and we move to the music. He's energetic and free-spirited as he dances, his favorite move quickly becoming the fist pump.
I let loose and dance to the beat, having fun with Thor. One song quickly turns into two and we continue to dance and have a good time. I finish off my drink and I'm starting to feel relaxed and more in the party spirit. Women try to push me out of the way to get their moment with Thor, which is understandable, but quickly becomes old. I give up the fight and point to my glass, telling Thor I'm going back to the bar. I return the glass and take a moment for a breather.
The music suddenly stops, and I look towards the area where the dj is. I see Tony with a microphone in hand, smile on his face.
"Let's celebrate the Avengers and our recent victories. Open bar, party all night. Let's go." He says and drops the mic before disappearing in the crowd. The music starts back up and I go back into the crowd towards Thor. As I get back, I see that both Bucky and the woman are gone from the couch. I take a quick sigh and shake the thoughts out of my head, wanting to get back to feeling good.
I blend in with the crowd since it'll probably be entirely too hard to get back to Thor. I dance with some women who are having the time of their life. Steve finally made his way into the crowd as well, though he looks like he's out of place and feels weird. I leave the ladies I'm dancing with and go to Steve knowing he needs some encouragement.
"Don't think, just dance." I say and nod my head to the beat. After a few moments he starts moving, warming up to the crowd. I push all thoughts of Bucky out of my head, I did make a commitment to myself that if he found someone I wouldn't intervene.
From the crowd, a hand taps my shoulder. I turn and see a dark haired man who is dressed sharply. I notice how the button up shirt clings to his biceps, his sleeves rolled to his elbows.
"I'm Oliver, wanna dance?" He asks. I look to Steve who just gives me a nod. I turn back to the man and follow him into the crowd. The party is still as strong as ever as the next song comes on. I feel Oliver's hands on my waist as I get into the song. I have to admit, I think Bucky's hands would feel nicer, but he's found someone for the night and I can't do anything about it. People are against each other all over the place, having a good time.
As much as I dreaded coming to this party, I'm glad I came. Tony can throw one hell of a party, I'll give him that much. Oliver's hands travel up and down my torso as we get closer to one another, my body starts heating up. I feel his lips on my neck and I close my eyes, savoring the feeling. His stubble reminds me of Bucky's.
I flutter my eyes open, feeling like someone is staring at me. Oliver continues kissing on my neck, and I see Bucky leaned up against the bar, eyes locked on me. He looks mad, and I don't see the blonde woman from the couch anywhere near him. As the bartender hands him his drink he walks away, taking one last glance at me before he disappears amongst the people.
Taken out of the moment and feeling slightly more sober, I break away from Oliver.
"I have to go, I'm sorry." I say, leaving him. I navigate through the crowd, trying to find Bucky. I look back to the couch I first saw him and see he's not there. I look around for him as I walk through the crowd, trying not to spill anyone's drink or bump into them. As I break through the edge of the crowd, I see Bucky outside.
I rush to the door and open it, the cool air hitting me like a brick wall. He looks over to me and takes another drink. The music is muffled, but still audible from outside, though it feels a lot quieter.
"Are you okay?" I ask him. I'm not sure what happened to the woman, or if he's feeling overwhelmed by the crowd. He stares at me for a moment wordlessly,
"I thought I was your dance partner tonight." Is all he says. I scrunch my eyebrows, not understanding why he's bringing this up.
"What do you mean? You never asked me." I push a strand of hair behind my ear. I take a few more steps so that I'm right in front of him.
"Yesterday I said you were my only partner, but I guess it didn't go both ways and that's alright." He finishes the drink in his hand.
"Bucky what are you talking about? You found someone, the blonde woman." I say. He shakes his head.
"I don't know who she was. She came over and sat down with us and just started talking, I was just trying to be nice." He explains.
"I didn't realize being friendly included putting your arm around her. You two looked close, I assumed she had caught your eye. I wasn't going to intervene." I say. Bucky stays silent. He turns to face me and looks down to me in order to meet my eyes. His eyes look over my face,
"No, it wasn't like that." Bucky reiterates.
"I'm sorry, I just assumed." I say, struggling to find the words I'm looking for.
"But you sure did catch the attention of every man in there tonight. I can't blame them, you look amazing." His voice is soft, yet raspy.
"Thank you, I kinda just threw something together with what I could find. You're looking pretty good yourself." I look him up and down, admiring the way he's dressed tonight. Bucky takes a step closer to me and holds his hand out.
"This isn't the kind of music I'm used to, but may I have this dance?" I nod and put my hand in his. The music inside is not the type for this dance, but I try to tune it out and follow his lead. One of his hands rests on my waist, the other holding one of mine. I rest my free hand on his shoulder, remembering what he showed me back at the Shield compound.
We dance close to one another, and I rest my forehead on his shoulder as we sway back and forth. I take in his signature smell and feel at home. I close my eyes as we step, loving the closeness and intimacy of the private dance. Though there are big windows and people can easily see us if they look, I doubt anyone in there is sober enough to read into it.
I lift my head from his shoulder and look into his baby blue, shining eyes. He smiles softly,
"I'm sorry I got upset, I just didn't like seeing you with that man, or even Thor." He admits.
"I didn't like seeing you with the woman, and I'm sorry I got upset too even though I had no right to be. " I say quietly.
"Adalyn, nobody else will ever be able to catch my eye like you do. When you're around it's like everyone else disappears. The woman in there couldn't even begin to compare to you. You're so much more than just a pretty face, you're one of the strongest and smartest women I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I'm glad I get to spend my days with you, I look forward to hearing your voice, seeing you." I feel butterflies in my tummy as he speaks. He stops us from swaying side to side and puts a hand on my jaw, his thumb brushing lightly on my cheekbone. His other hand stays on my waist, both of my hands now resting on his shoulders.
I look into his eyes with adoration, and as if I were being pulled by a magnet I feel myself leaning towards him. He pulls me in by the waist, and I close my eyes. I wrap my arms around his neck as I feel his lips meet mine. A rush of heat flows through my body, causing my cheeks to become rosy. I taste the liquor on his warm lips as I soak this moment in. Finally.
After a moment, we pull away and look into each other's eyes. In the back of my mind I worry about how this could affect things with the team, but my heart is taking lead and all I feel is happiness.
"You don't know how long I've waited for this." He says as he brushes some hair out of my face. I smile and pull him in for another kiss. Once we break away he leans his forehead on mine.
"I adore you so much, Bucky." I say as I move my hands from his neck to hold his face. Gently, I cup his jaw in my hands so that he's looking right at me. We're inches apart from one another, my heart pounds in my chest.
"I adore you even more, Adalyn." He says with a big smile on his face. I pull him in for a hug, his arms wrap around my waist tightly. I feel him place a kiss on the top of my head, making me smile even harder, if that's possible. As I pull away I can see the joy all over his face.
I don't know how this is going to affect things, but I know in my heart that this was not a mistake. We can deal with the consequences, but I don't think I could deal with having a boundary between us any longer. My heart desired Bucky every single day, the longing was becoming unbearable. The thought of him with anyone else is enough to crush my soul, and seeing him beside the other woman tonight confirmed what I thought my feelings were. I'm not sure where we go from here, but as long as I have Bucky by my side things will be just fine.
